How do I generate Gray code using the Mirror Tool?
Gray code is known as "reflected binary code". Instead of converting bits mathematically, you can visually build the sequence using the mirror tool:
Click the Mirror (M) button or press M to activate mirror mode.
Click the Gray Code column to place a mirror below your last entered sequence.
The tool will automatically show faded hints reflecting the bits from above into the empty rows below.
Type over the hints to fill in the rows, making sure to prepend a 1 to the newly reflected bottom half (while the top half gets a 0).
Remove or move the mirror further down to continue building the sequence!
